More about me:
My interests revolve around staying fit; that enables me to enjoy all that life has to offer. When I’m not working I can be found digging in my garden, discovering new hiking trails, cycling along paths or canals (with my family in Amsterdam), travelling to our home in Phoenix and indulging in glorious food and fabulous wines.
What I love about being a mediator:
What inspires me about the work is seeing people who are ‘stuck’ get ‘unstuck’. I know that people have the capacity to change and the best part for me is when people discover that for themselves.
What I love about being part of the FS team:
Not only do I have the best job in the world, I also have a luxury of working with people I admire and trust – I know my partners and associates have my back and I can count on them to provide me feedback to make me a better mediator. I am thrilled to be a part of a team that inspires me to excel.
My greatest adventure to date:
Gord, Elise, Patrick and I took a one-year sabbatical when the kids were 10 and 8 years old. The goal was to expose the kids to different cultures and ways of living as well as to learn a third language. Our adventure took us to Mexico where we lived for 6 months, as well as Ecuador, the Galapagos, Argentina and many places throughout the U.S. and Canada. I’m happy to report that we achieved our goals!
My favourite books:
- A Prayer for Owen Meany – John Irving
- Open – Andre Agassi
- The Red Tent – Anita Diamant
If I weren’t a mediator, I would be a:
- Back-up singer for an artist or band that showcases amazing harmonies – only in my dreams! 🙂
