Workplace Mediation

Statistics indicate that 55 per cent of working Canadians experience anxiety, irritability with co-workers, defensiveness, anger, mood swings and feelings of helplessness or of being trapped.

When conflict between employees or between an employee and a manager is disrupting work productivity and affecting team dynamics, workplace mediation is a proven tool to help people move past their tensions and achieve results.

Clients have found workplace mediation helpful in many contexts:

+ Conflicted work relationships
+ Return to work negotiations
+ Grievance processes
+ Severance package negotiations

Mediation is a voluntary, collaborative, problem-solving process in which a third party seen to be fair and balanced by all parties assists the parties in dispute in clearly defining and understanding the events and concerns which have contributed to the tensions. The mediator also helps the parties reach resolutions that are acceptable to everyone involved in the conflict.

FS has a standing offer agreement with the federal government for mediation and conflict intervention services.
